Carbon fiber generally gives more control and a crisper feel. Fiberglass has more pop and power.

Carbon tends to be more durable. My fiberglass paddles showed wear faster.

Some newer paddles have hybrid faces. Might be worth looking into those too.

If you're more of a control player, go carbon. Power players often prefer fiberglass.
