Pickleball Tournaments Near You

Where to find real, upcoming events, how to check that your division is open, and what to sort out before you pay.

We don’t keep our own tournament calendar. Dates, divisions, and waitlists change every day on the registration platforms, so we point you straight to the sources organizers actually use.

Where real pickleball tournaments are listed

These are the official sources. Each one is run by the platform or organization itself, so the dates and divisions you see there are the ones the tournament desk will use.

Registration

PickleballTournaments.com

The largest US tournament registration platform, part of Pickleball.com (PickleballBrackets.com now redirects here). Browse without an account and filter by date, location, format, and organization, including PPA, APP, and USA Pickleball events. You need a free account to register and pay.

Sanctioned

USA Pickleball tournaments

The place to confirm sanctioned tournaments, Golden Ticket qualifiers on the road to Nationals, and collegiate events. If a flyer says “sanctioned”, it should show up here.

Registration

Pickleball Den

Another registration platform used by some tournaments and leagues, including some sanctioned events. Always register on the site the event page names, not a look-alike listing.

Ratings

DUPR

The rating many events check before they accept your entry, and the official rating for USA Pickleball-owned events such as Golden Ticket tournaments and Nationals. The profile is free, and the number comes from verified match results.

Pro tours

PPA Tour and APP Tour

The two main pro circuits. Many stops also run amateur brackets next to the pro draw, so a tour schedule is a good way to plan a trip. You still enter a specific amateur division with a rating check.

Pro teams

Major League Pickleball

The team-format pro league. Useful if you want to watch top players in person or follow the season, rather than enter a bracket yourself.

WherePickleball is not affiliated with these platforms. Always confirm details on the official event page before registering.

How to find a tournament near you in 5 steps

  1. 1

    Search by location and date

Start on PickleballTournaments.com and set a radius you would actually drive. Cross-check sanctioned and Golden Ticket events on the USA Pickleball list.

  2. 2

Ask the courts you already play

Clubs, parks departments, and indoor facilities post local brackets before they show up anywhere else. Use the court finder below to find venues near you, then ask at the desk.

  3. 3

Open the divisions before you fall in love with an event

Confirm your skill band, age band, and category (doubles, mixed, singles) are offered and still open. Note whether the rating is a cap or a minimum.

  4. 4

Sort out rating, membership, and partner

Check which rating the event uses, link your USA Pickleball membership if it is sanctioned, and add your doubles partner or use the partner finder if there is one.

  5. 5

Pay, save the confirmation, and read the refund rules

Keep the confirmation email for check-in, watch the waitlist if your division is full, and know the withdrawal deadline before you book a hotel.

Which kind of tournament fits you?

The type of event decides whether you need a rating, a membership, and how serious the day will feel. Most players should start local and move up.

Event type Best for Rating check Membership
Club, parks, and charity events First-timers and local players Often self-rated Usually not required
Sanctioned amateur tournaments Players ready for skill and age divisions DUPR or UTR-P, as the event page states Paid USA Pickleball membership
Golden Ticket qualifiers Experienced players aiming for Nationals DUPR (official for USA Pickleball-owned events) Paid USA Pickleball membership
Amateur brackets at pro tour stops Players who want a big-event weekend Checked against your division Depends on the event

Details vary by event. USA Pickleball explains how ratings are used on its skill level and ratings page, and membership tiers on its membership page.

Before you pay: a quick checklist

  • Your division exists, and the rating number is a cap (3.5 and under) or a floor (4.0+) that fits you
  • You know whether the event checks DUPR or UTR-P, and your profile is set up
  • A USA Pickleball membership is linked to your registration account if the event is sanctioned
  • Both paddles are on the USA Pickleball approved equipment list for sanctioned play
  • You know the official ball, indoor or outdoor, and the check-in time
  • You read the refund and withdrawal policy before booking travel

Paddle check: search the USA Pickleball approved equipment list.

Find clubs that host local events

Local round robins and club championships are often only posted at the venue. Our court finder maps courts and clubs, not events, so pick your state, find places where people already play, and ask what is on the calendar.

Pickleball tournament FAQ

Does WherePickleball list tournaments?

No. We do not publish a tournament calendar, because dates, divisions, and waitlists change daily on the registration platforms and a copied list goes out of date fast. Search PickleballTournaments.com and the USA Pickleball tournament list for current events, and use our court finder to find clubs near you that host local brackets.

Where do I actually register for a pickleball tournament?

On the platform the event page names, most often PickleballTournaments.com (formerly PickleballBrackets) and sometimes Pickleball Den. Match the event name, city, venue, and organizer before you pay, because similar names are common.

Do I need a DUPR rating to enter?

Not for many club and charity events, which let you self-rate. USA Pickleball-owned events such as Golden Ticket tournaments and Nationals use DUPR, and some sanctioned events use UTR-P instead. The event page says which rating it checks.

Can beginners play in pickleball tournaments?

Yes. Look for a local, one-day round robin with a novice, 2.5, or 3.0 division, and enter at your honest level. Our tournament guide covers how to pick a first event and what to bring.

Run a club or a venue that hosts events?

Players look for local tournaments at the courts they already know. Make sure your venue is in the court finder, then post your event on the registration platform players search.
